Lengua y Literatura de 2° Medio (Decreto 1264/2016): 24 objetivos en cuatro unidades, y las unidades vuelven una y otra vez sobre leer, escribir y hablar. El año va de la lectura crítica y la escritura argumentativa a la literatura hispanoamericana, el análisis del discurso y la investigación con fuentes. Están las fuentes que vale la pena guardar, y también los prerrequisitos que conviene tener firmes. Las 228 h (57 por unidad) vienen del programa y son referenciales; cada colegio las ajusta a su calendario.

Language & Literature, 2° Medio (Decreto 1264/2016): 24 objectives in four units, and the units keep coming back to reading, writing and speaking. The year goes from critical reading and argumentative writing to Hispano-American literature, discourse analysis and research with sources. The sources worth keeping are here, and so are the prerequisites worth having solid. The 228 h (57 per unit) come from the programme and are referential; each school fits them to its own calendar.

Sobre la ausencia: exilio, migración e identidadOn absence: exile, migration and identity

Lees y analizas narraciones contemporáneas sobre exilio, migración e identidad: el cuento latinoamericano moderno y el boom, con Borges, Rulfo, García Márquez, Cortázar, Bombal y Onetti. Trabajas el análisis narrativo completo (conflicto, personajes, narrador, recursos temporales, intertextualidad) y formulas interpretaciones que se sostienen con citas y contexto.

You read and analyze contemporary narratives of exile, migration and identity: the modern Latin American short story and the Boom, with Borges, Rulfo, García Márquez, Cortázar, Bombal and Onetti. You work through narrative analysis as a whole (conflict, character, narrator, temporal devices, intertextuality) and build interpretations that stand on quotations and context.

Lees y evalúas textos argumentativos y de medios: columna de opinión, carta al director, discurso, ensayo, noticia, reportaje, propaganda, crónica. Aprendes a reconocer la tesis, los argumentos, las falacias y los recursos de persuasión, tanto lingüísticos como no lingüísticos. Y escribes para explicar y para persuadir: tesis, evidencia, contraargumentos y un cierre coherente, cuidando la cohesión y la ortografía.

You read and evaluate argumentative and media texts: op-eds, letters to the editor, speeches, essays, news pieces, reports, advertising and chronicles. You learn to recognize the thesis, the arguments, the fallacies and the persuasive devices, linguistic and non-linguistic. And you write to explain and to persuade: thesis, evidence, counter-arguments and a coherent close, keeping cohesion and spelling in order.

Lo divino y lo humanoThe divine and the human

Lees poesía lírica con el Siglo de Oro al centro: Garcilaso, Quevedo, Góngora, Sor Juana, Lope, Calderón, y el soneto como forma fija. Te fijas en los símbolos, el hablante lírico, el lenguaje figurado, las repeticiones y la sonoridad, y valoras la relevancia histórica del Barroco. También practicas la escritura flexible, el proceso de escritura y el estilo directo e indirecto, con investigación en fuentes válidas.

You read lyric poetry with the Golden Age at the center: Garcilaso, Quevedo, Góngora, Sor Juana, Lope and Calderón, and the sonnet as a fixed form. You look at symbols, the lyric speaker, figurative language, repetitions and sound, and you weigh the historical relevance of the Baroque. You also practice flexible writing, the writing process and direct and indirect style, with research into valid sources.

Poder y ambiciónPower and ambition

Analizas textos dramáticos leídos o vistos: el conflicto y el problema humano que hay detrás, los personajes, la atmósfera y la puesta en escena (iluminación, sonido, vestuario, escenografía, actuación), todo llevado al tema del poder y la ambición, con la narrativa gráfica incluida. En lo oral, evalúas discursos, dialogas con evidencia y expones ante audiencia con progresión y apoyo visual.

You analyze dramatic texts read or seen: the conflict and the human problem behind it, the characters, the atmosphere and the staging (lighting, sound, costume, scenography, acting), all brought to the theme of power and ambition, graphic narrative included. On the oral side, you evaluate speeches, dialogue with evidence and present to an audience with progression and visual support.

Lengua y Literatura es una asignatura propia de 2° Medio: 24 objetivos, OA LE2M 01–24, repartidos en cuatro unidades sobre lectura, escritura, comunicación oral e investigación.
