Análisis de poemasAnalysis of poems

LecturaReadingUnidad 3 · 57 hUnit 3 · 57 h
Analyze poems read to enrich comprehension, considering: symbols and their relation to the whole; speaker's attitude; figurative language effects; repetition effects; fragment-whole relation; intertextual relations; sonnet characteristics.
  1. Distinguishes lyric speaker from poet and describes attitude (temple) with textual evidence.
  2. Explains the effect of two figures (metaphor, simile, personification, hyperbole, anaphora) on meaning.
  3. Interprets a central symbol and shows how it relates to the whole poem.
  4. Describes the effect of phonic, lexical or structural repetitions on rhythm and meaning.
  5. Recognises the sonnet form (14 hendecasyllabic lines, 2 quatrains + 2 tercets, ABBA ABBA rhyme) and explains its contribution to theme.
  6. Links the poem to another text via intertextuality or shared topic.
  • Vocabulario académico

    Academic vocabulary

Sin el léxico de la asignatura (narrador, hablante lírico, tesis, intertextualidad, modalizador), el análisis pierde precisión. En secundaria, es lo que mejor predice la comprensión lectora.

Without the subject's vocabulary (narrator, lyric speaker, thesis, intertextuality, hedge), analysis loses its precision. In secondary school, it is the strongest predictor of reading comprehension.

  • Análisis lírico (figuras, hablante lírico, soneto)

Lyric analysis (figures, lyric speaker, sonnet)

Confundir hablante con poeta, no nombrar las figuras con su efecto o no reconocer la forma del soneto (14 endecasílabos, ABBA ABBA) bloquea los OA 04 y 06.

Confusing the speaker with the poet, not naming the figures with their effect, or not recognizing the sonnet form (14 hendecasyllables, ABBA ABBA) blocks OA 04 and 06.

  • Pensamiento crítico e intertextual

    Critical and intertextual thinking

Leer cada obra como una isla, sin conectarla con otras obras, con su contexto o con el presente, deja fuera la intertextualidad y la relación entre la obra y su época que piden los OA 03, 04, 05 y 08, además del OA 02.

Reading every work as an island, without connecting it to other works, to its context or to the present, leaves out the intertextuality and the work-and-period link that OA 03, 04, 05 and 08 ask for, plus OA 02.
